Nigerian-born, U.S.-based gospel singer, songwriter, and worship minister Moyosore Abiodun releases her new single, Gbemiro, a Spirit-inspired worship anthem that exalts God's greatness and sovereignty.
The song was birthed through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit during a time of reflection on the state of the world. As I looked around, I saw increasing evil, heartbreaking news, fear, and a lack of love and kindness among people. In that moment, my heart cried out to God, asking Him to carry me, uphold me, and help me remain faithful in a world filled with challenges.
The Yoruba word "Gbemiro" means "Carry Me." It is more than a song—it is a prayer of complete dependence on God. It expresses the cry of every believer who longs for God's strength, protection, guidance, and sustaining grace through life's difficult journey.
I believe this song is a message of hope for everyone who feels overwhelmed by the pressures and darkness of this world. It reminds us that we are not alone. God is still faithful, He still carries His children, and He gives peace to those who trust in Him.
My prayer is that everyone who listens to "Gbemiro" will experience God's presence, find renewed strength, and be encouraged to place their complete trust in Him. May this song draw hearts closer to Jesus Christ and remind the world that He is our refuge, our helper, and our everlasting hope.
