[Album] Oyebabs – The Encounter

The Encounter is a gospel album by Oyebabs, a contemporary Afrobeat gospel singer and songwriter. The album is built on Bible stories, personal experiences, and messages of faith. Every song has its own story, but together they point listeners to God's love, faithfulness, healing, and saving power. It is an album that encourages worship, thanksgiving, and a closer walk with God.

The album begins with Godiya, a Hausa praise and worship song that expresses gratitude and thanksgiving to God. Kamar Matar Nan (Like That Woman) is inspired by the woman who washed Jesus' feet with her tears and expensive perfume, showing a heart of love, sacrifice, and true worship. Living Water tells the story of the Samaritan woman Jesus met at the well and reminds listeners that only Jesus can satisfy the deepest needs of the human heart.

One Night is a personal testimony of how God miraculously healed Oyebabs from an infirmity he had lived with for many years. Blessings of God celebrates God as the giver of every blessing and draws inspiration from Abraham's life, encouraging believers to trust God for His provision. He Knows My Name, based on Isaiah 43:1–2, reminds listeners that God knows each person by name and never leaves His children, even in difficult times. Don't Be Afraid, inspired by Joshua 1:9, encourages believers to be strong and courageous because God is always with them.

Through these songs, shares a simple but powerful message: God is faithful, He still speaks through His Word, He still heals, He still provides, and He invites everyone into a deeper relationship with Him through faith and worship.
